Beta Guide
Everything you need to test the Indy Battle Simulator. Follow the steps below, then send your feedback.
⚔ How to Test
1
Create or load a character
Go to the Intake Engine and paste a character description, upload a file, or use the questionnaire. You can use one of the sample characters below if you want a quick start. Hit Analyze and wait for the AI to generate a combat profile (usually 10–30 seconds).
→ Go to Intake Engine
2
Review and save the profile
After analysis, check the generated profile — stats, abilities, personality sliders. Resolve any flagged contradictions if you want. Hit Save Profile. Do this for at least two characters before setting up a battle.
3
Set up a battle
Go to Battle Setup, choose two saved profiles as fighters, set the location, rules, and any context. Save the battle setup.
→ Go to Battle Setup
4
Run the simulation
Click Run Simulation on the battle page. The AI will simulate the fight and return a full narrative result with a winner, reasoning, and play-by-play. This usually takes 20–60 seconds — the model is working hard.

📋 Sample Characters

Don't have a character ready? Copy one of these into the Intake Engine's paste tab to test with a fully-described fighter. These are designed to stress-test different ability types.

Kael Voss — Dragon KnightORIGINAL
Name: Kael Voss Universe: Original (Fantasy) Age: 340 years old Species: Dragon Knight (half-dragon, half-human) Height: 6'7" / 201cm | Weight: 310 lbs / 141kg Narrative role: Warlord and final antagonist Summary: Kael Voss is a three-century-old Dragon Knight who fused his soul with an ancient fire dragon after slaying it in single combat. Cold, methodical, and merciless in battle, he has toppled seven kingdoms and once held a collapsing mountain face for long enough for his army to retreat. He fights not for glory but for absolute dominance. Physical feats: - Lifted and threw a 40-ton siege engine barehanded - Tanked a direct lightning strike without flinching - Crossed a continent on foot in 6 days (travel speed) - Reacted to and deflected crossbow bolts at close range Combat style: Bladesmaster with elemental fire augmentation. Prefers to open with a wall of fire to force opponents into melee, then overwhelms with a combination of superior strength and fire-enhanced sword strikes. Patient and tactical — will probe for weaknesses before committing. Abilities: 1. Dragonfire Mantle — Passive aura. Wreathed in dragon fire at all times. Melts mundane projectiles before impact. Deals burn damage to anything that touches him. 2. Inferno Slash — Active. Channels dragon fire through his greatsword into a sweeping fire wave, 50m range. Can be charged for 2 seconds for triple output. 3. Dragon Soul Transformation — Triggered when below 20% health or by will. Fully transforms into a 30-meter fire dragon. Massively increases all stats. Lasts 10 minutes maximum. He retains full tactical thinking in this form. 4. Fireborn Resilience — Passive. Complete immunity to fire and heat-based damage. Regenerates minor wounds rapidly. Resistances: Fire/heat (complete), physical damage (high), psychic/mental attacks (partial — dragon soul anchors his mind) Weaknesses: Extreme cold and ice slow his regeneration and weaken his fire abilities significantly. His transformation has a hard 10-minute timer. He is overconfident and may underestimate opponents. Win conditions: Overwhelming with superior firepower, attrition, Dragon Form if necessary Loss conditions: Sustained cold/ice attacks, opponents fast enough to avoid his fire, psychological manipulation exploiting his arrogance
Aria Sung — Speedster TacticianCOMIC
Name: Aria Sung Universe: Apex City Comics (Original Superhero Setting) Age: 28 Species: Metahuman — Speed Force conduit Height: 5'6" / 168cm | Weight: 130 lbs / 59kg Narrative role: Protagonist, city defender Summary: Aria Sung gained access to a localized kinetic force field after a particle accelerator accident, giving her the ability to move at superhuman speeds and process combat information faster than most people can blink. She's a former military tactician who approaches every fight like a chess match — fast, controlled, and always three moves ahead. Physical stats: - Travel speed: Supersonic (can outrun most vehicles; measured at Mach 1.2 in open field) - Combat speed: Hypersonic (exchanges blows too fast for unaugmented humans to track) - Reaction speed: Massively Hypersonic (has dodged laser fire at point-blank range) - Strength: Peak human — no superhuman lifting. Her offense comes from speed and momentum, not raw power. - Durability: Enhanced — her kinetic field absorbs impact damage proportional to her speed. Can tank hits she would have taken at speed. Baseline she's still squishy. Combat style: Hit-and-run. Never stands still. Creates after-images to confuse targeting. Uses environment aggressively — ricochets off walls, uses wind pressure from passes as attacks. Tactician who prefers to end fights in under 30 seconds. Abilities: 1. Speed Burst — Can push to short-range FTL for 3-4 seconds before kinetic field overheats. Unusable 2x in a row. 2. Kinetic Impact Strike — Concentrates kinetic energy into a single punch. Hits with force equivalent to a wrecking ball. Drains field energy for 5 seconds after use. 3. Time Dilation Perception — Passive. At full speed, perceives combat in slow motion. Excellent for reading opponents and countering. 4. Vortex Slam — Spins at hypersonic speed to create a sustained cutting vortex. Range 10m radius. Resistances: Kinetic/physical at speed, energy diffusion (partial) Weaknesses: Mental/psychic attacks bypass her speed entirely. Area-of-effect attacks she can't outrun. EMP can disrupt her kinetic field for 15 seconds. Gets reckless when allies are threatened. Win conditions: Speed blitz before opponent can adapt, wear down slower opponents Loss conditions: Mind control, large AOE, sustained energy attacks that overwhelm field
Mira — The Hollow WitchFANTASY
Name: Mira (no last name; she abandoned it) Universe: The Shattered Veil (Original Dark Fantasy) Age: Unknown — appears 25, rumored to be centuries old Species: Hollowed Human — a person whose soul has been partially consumed and replaced by void energy Height: 5'4" / 163cm | Weight: 105 lbs / 48kg Narrative role: Anti-hero, former villain. Now fights the things she once served. Summary: Mira was once an ordinary hedge witch until she made a pact with a void entity that hollowed out half her soul in exchange for immense power. She survived, which was not supposed to happen. She now exists in a state between life and death, wielding void magic that unravels existence on contact. She is quiet, calculating, and treats combat as an unpleasant interruption. Offensive capability tier: Mountain level (void collapses matter on contact) Defensive capability tier: City level (intangibility, soul anchor prevents death) Strength: Below human (she is physically fragile) Combat approach: Long-range void manipulation. She prefers not to close distance. Will spend first 30 seconds assessing weaknesses before committing. Uses misdirection and environmental collapse. Abilities: 1. Void Touch — Active, instant. Everything she touches with bare skin has its molecular cohesion unraveled. Melts armor, flesh, stone. She wears gloves; removing them is a deliberate escalation. 2. Soul Anchor — Passive. She cannot be killed by conventional means. Lethal damage instead collapses her physical form, forcing a 72-hour reconstitution period. She can be permanently destroyed only by severing her anchor to the void (requires specific ritual knowledge). 3. Hollow Step — Active. Becomes partially intangible for up to 8 seconds. Can phase through attacks, walls. Cannot attack while phased. Requires 20-second cooldown. 4. Void Rift — Major ability, requires 4 seconds of focus. Opens a localized tear in space, pulling everything within 30m toward a crushing singularity. She is immune to her own rifts. Has used this twice in recorded history. 5. Existential Dread — Passive aura. Opponents within 10m feel an irrational, paralytic terror. Affects even fearless fighters (biological response, not psychological). Resistance possible with strong mental fortitude. Resistances: Physical damage (partial — can phase), death (soul anchor), psychic reading (her mind is fractured and unreadable), void/existence attacks Weaknesses: Divine/holy energy burns her badly. If her gloves are destroyed, she struggles with fine motor control. She is physically weaker than a baseline human. Her void rift requires stationary concentration. Win: Void Touch contact, Void Rift, existential dread paralysis Loss: Opponents immune to or wielding holy/divine attacks, extreme mobility that prevents concentration
Subject 7 — Rogue BioweaponANIME
Name: Subject 7 (self-designated "Seven") Universe: Fractured Earth (Original Sci-fi / Biopunk) Age: 6 years since activation (accelerated aging to apparent 19) Species: Engineered human — Series 7 bioweapon Height: 5'10" / 178cm | Weight: 175 lbs / 79kg Narrative role: Escaped experiment; reluctant hero Summary: Seven is the seventh and only surviving subject of a black-site bioweapon program that fused advanced genetic engineering with experimental nanite technology. She escaped after going berserk and killing her handlers. She is rapidly evolving and cannot fully predict what she can do — which terrifies her as much as it terrifies opponents. Combat style: Aggressive, instinctual brawler who adapts in real time. She learns the pattern of an opponent's fighting style within 2-3 exchanges and begins countering automatically. Not tactically sophisticated in a traditional sense — she relies on instinct, speed, and overwhelming physical output. Physical stats: - Strength: Superhuman (High) — has crushed reinforced titanium with one hand, flipped armored vehicles - Offensive capability: City Block level (concentrated nanite spike can punch through bunker walls) - Defensive capability: Superhuman (Mid) — enhanced bone density and rapid regeneration - Combat speed: Superhuman (can keep pace with low-level enhanced humans) - Reaction speed: Superhuman (enhanced nervous system; reacts ~8x faster than baseline human) - Stamina: Extremely high — nanites recycle lactic acid; she has fought continuously for 19 hours in testing Abilities: 1. Nanite Regeneration — Passive. Recovers from wounds rapidly. Seals lacerations in seconds, broken bones in minutes, lost limbs in hours. Cannot regenerate brain or heart if destroyed instantly. 2. Adaptive Combat Learning — Passive. After seeing an attack pattern 2-3 times, her body begins automatically countering. Effective against repetitive fighters; less useful against creative or chaotic opponents. 3. Nanite Spike Projection — Active, instant. Fires compressed nanite mass from palm. Penetrates most armor. Range 50m. Can fire 8 times per combat without depletion (nanites need time to regroup after). 4. Berserker Protocol — Triggered involuntarily when below 15% health, or voluntarily with effort. Massively amplifies strength, speed, and aggression. She loses tactical thinking entirely. Lasts until threat is eliminated or she loses consciousness. 5. Material Analysis — Active, requires touch. Nanites analyze a substance and find its structural weaknesses. Takes 3 seconds. Used to identify armor weak points, material vulnerabilities, etc. Resistances: Physical damage (enhanced), toxins/disease (nanites neutralize most), small arms fire Weaknesses: EMP disrupts nanites for 20-30 seconds, shutting down regeneration and Nanite Spike. She has no resistance to energy attacks (fire, electricity, plasma). Berserker Protocol can be triggered against her will. She is emotionally volatile and can be psychologically manipulated.
